2006-12-11 Genting, Malaysia…again

My 2nd time in Malaysia but first time in Genting.

When I came back from SIN I reserved the seat to Genting at KL Sentral but I waited for 2 hours again coz had a lot of people. If you’d like to go somewhere pls. add more time for contingencies too.

Lucky me, I met a new friend on the bus. Actually she stays in Genting (She works at there), She came to KL during this weekend and go back at the same time. She told me about Genting and took me to sky cable’s queue but she can go inside before. I had to queue for 1.5 hours, so long. She told me that the first time in 1 year for hers to have more people like this coz 11 Dec is Selangor public holiday. After that I went to Sky cable for Genting with Indonesian friends.
New Indonesian friends / Nice KL friend at Genting

Ps. Indo friends, I don’t know before that we went to SIN and came back to KL by the same train and same bus to Genting too. Until the sky cable’s queue, I think they looked familiar and we talked together. They are IT specialist from IBM Indonesia and came to KL for training at Sunway, nearby my hotel at the same time too. Regrettable, if we known maybe we can went to SIN together and I’m not alone.

Fastest and Longest sky cable…I went to Genting by cable with Indo friends and went to Casino before. I‘ve less time only 2 hours coz I bought return ticket already at 3.30 pm. Today I came back to Thai, for safety I should to go to Airport before 7.00 pm

In Genting, to be full of wonder and excitement in Casino and Theme park. I was very enjoy but have a short time…I’ll go there again if I can.

Do you know the goal of your life? For me sometimes Yes and sometimes No. I have my goal, sometimes blur sometimes forget and often change hahaha!. But now I’d like to Travel around the world by myself…If I have more money !!!

Good luck…See again on the next trip

2006-12-09 Malacca, Malaysia

At 8.00am, from the Hotel I took taxi to KL Sentral with Mr. Alman, a very nice Indo guy in this trip and leave my Baggage and Backpack in the locker at KL Sentral station before I went to Puduraya station. Only RM9.40 from KL to Malacca by Delima Coach but I waited for 2 hours coz have many people and Coach to late for 0.5 hour too.

I have breakfast at the alley in front of the station. Very small Noodle shop and seller don’t understand English. The old man avoid when I ordered but I made an effort. Good luck I asked for someone to help me and I can have delicious noodle…he he!!!

When I waited, I called TG officer to confirm my return ticket to Thailand but had a problem for me. My ticket confirmed in this afternoon not on Monday. He told me can’t change coz today flight. I’m very worry and said that I can’t too coz now I stayed in Singapore. Sure I lied but how can I do…don’t told him lah J And then everything’s ok. Go ahead!!!

2 hours from KL to Malacca I met Mr.WAN, student from KL university. His home’s in Malacca. We‘ve a little talk coz I’m very sleepy but I known something more.

At last I went to Malacca by safety. And went to the city by town bus from Malacca Sentral, a Modern transportation, to Christ Church….only 80 cent.
Christ Church / Trishaw/ The ‘A Famosa’ fortress

It is traditionally believed that the history of Malaysia began with the founding of Malacca in 1400 by Parameswara, a Sumatran prince. Thereafter, the state flourished under Malacca Sultanate and eventually became the region’s largest emporium attracting traders from as far as China, India, Arabia and Europe. Malacca came under successive colonial eras.
In the light of its rich historian past, Malacca has been officially declared the ‘Historical City of Malaysia’

Famous historical sites in the state include the A Famosa, Stadhuys, St.Paul’s Church, St. John’s Fort and the Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat mausoleums etc.

Malacca’s children / Dutch’s Windwheel /Cendol RM1.20 / Chicken Rice Ball RM10.10

While in Malacca, I enjoy and exciting with many trishaw, and Food such as Cendol and Chicken rice ball in the famous restaurant ‘FAMOSA’ at Jonker Street.

At 5.00 pm I took taxi from Jonker Street to Malacca Sentral not so far but I paid RM12…um!! Maybe expensive.
6.00 pm I came back to KL, the coach so late again and had more traffic jam.
8.30 pm I stayed in the coach but I can’t wait. I told driver to get off and took monorail to KL Sentral coz I manage to took KTM line from KL to Singapore station. I took a local train it took me almost 10 hrs to reach Singapore but at least I can sleep on the train

2006.12.4 - 8 Workshop on IT …..WORK WORK WORK

This trip is mainly about IT for NPC organized by National Productivity Corporation (NPC Malaysia) that cover Malaysia Thailand Laos Cambodia Vietnam Indonesia India Fiji Mongolia Nepal Bangladesh SriLanka and Pakistan. I may not go to the detail of IT much but there's also some interesting point in this workshop.

Participants / Country’s presentation / Japanese lunch

The first time in APO project, I just work at FTPI only 8 months. In this course I met only nice participants, smart gentle and respectable. Good luck, I met nice friends too. ( Mr.Indonesian & Mr.Vietnamese)

There're 19 participants from various countries. As English is the only means for communicating and English also a foreign language for me so it's challenging and fun at the same time try to make them understand my speaking and try to understand them also.

The atmosphere in our seminar room is not serious at all but don’t have Enegizers. I had ever joined many training and this course is one of the most impressive for me. Not only the knowledge and skills I got but also friendship from all over the world.

There are so many topics and exercises to cover and we all the participants also need a free time after class to go shopping everyday.(The Sheraton Hotel was nice but actually I don’t use more because most of the time I spend outside my room. Using room for sleeping and Taking a shower only.)

Sunway Pyramid /My Best Friends / Welcome: SriAyutthaya restaurant (Thai)

I got a chance to visit 3 local offices in Malaysia. It is very interesting about this site visit. We went to XYBase Sdn.Bhd., International company with offices in Malaysia and the USA. XYBase established project and service methodologies about IT and applications. And concretration on high-end infrastructure-based technologies. 2nd at IBM Regional Contact Certer, Cyberjaya and the last Bank Negara, Central Bank of Malaysia, A Knowledge Based Organization that I learnt more about KM.

XYBase / IBM / BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA

Thank you very much for our resources person Mr. R.C Monga. We learn a lot from you.

2006-12-03 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

My job brought me to Kuala Lumpur. I was here for the workshop on IT for Productivity Specialists.

9 days for this trip
Dec 3-8 : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Dec 9 : Malacca, Malaysia (alone)
Dec 10 : Singapore(alone)
Dec 11 : Genting, Malaysia (alone again) and came back to Thailand.
Have a long trip also lose money and also lose sleep...Ha ha!....
Pls. follow-up

The 1st day I flew with Mr.Pichai from TOT by TG. This iron bird touched KLIA's ground (K-LI-A Airport) on Dec 3 at noon. I should proceed to the baggage line but have some problem with Mr. Pichai’s baggage coz he’s check-in to late, his baggage didn’t came with this flight. We waited for 3 hours to reclaim. (Then Mr.Pichai received it on 7 am next day)

KLIA / Baggage Reclaim / Mr. Din (taxi driver)
I took the Budget taxi from airport to Sheraton Subang Hotel, Subang Jaya, Selangor by Airport Limo (M) Sdn. Bhd. only RM49.70 and 45 min. Mr.Din (nice taxi driver) take us to the hotel. He waited us for 20 min. to check-in coz the rain heavily and I’d like to go to KL.

20 min for wait and only RM20 (I think it’s very cheap) from the hotel to the the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Merdeka Square where the British flag was lowered for the last time on August 31,1957 and replaced by the new Malaysian flag. So I can’t miss the National History Meseum too, only next to world’s tallest flag pole.

After that We went to the Central market, Wisma shopping mall and China town.
Shopping Shopping and Shopping. I got so many order from my friends in BKK.

Central Market / Wisma / China Town

Longan Water RM1.2 / First meal in KL:Combination noodles RM5.0

Modern transportation that include the Light Rail Transit monorail system and a Rapid Transit monorail system, currently under construction, mean getting around is breeze.
KL still retains its old world charm depicted in the majestic buildings of colonial era, quaint pre-war shop-houses and the way business is conducted. At night, the streets adorned with trees and decorative shrubs, as well as the buildings are colourfully lit to give the city a unique dazzle.

And I have to Thank you NON my Thai friend who provided me the cell phone and to lend Hot Link sim so I can use it to call to my family and friends. It’s very cheap only 20 cent/min to call to Thailand. I just only top-up.

At the hotel before I came back to my room I met a man from Vietnam NPC in the lift. Um…He look like friendly. I think maybe tomorrow I’ve a new friend.
Today I have more fun but Tomorrow is the first day of working.
